Add or remove people from a Google See video call

You can add people to a video meeting in Google Meet before or subsequently the meeting starts. You lot can also remove people during a video coming together.

Add people during a video meeting

While in the meeting, you can invite others to join. For meetings organized through personal Google accounts, only the coming together organizer can admit participants.

  • Google Workspace users: To admit someone who isn't in your organization, someone from inside your organization must admit the invited participant.

Remove people during a video meeting

Important: You need to be in the aforementioned Google Workspace organisation as the meeting organizer to remove someone from a phone call. For calls organized through your personal Google account, only the coming together organizer can remove participants during a video call.

One time in a video call:

  1. On the top left, tap the meeting name.
  2. On the "People" tab, next to a participant, tap CarteCustomize and control Google Chrome and then Remove.

Tip: To remove a user who chosen from their telephone, side by side to the number, tap Remove.

Google Workspace for Teaching users: Participants (both in-domain and out of domain) removed from the meeting can't request access to join the meeting again. If a participant'due south requests to bring together a meeting are denied twice, they won't be able to request to join the meeting again. Control access to a video meeting with Quick access

When Quick access is off:

  • Participants from your domain tin can automatically join the meeting using their computer or mobile device.
  • Participants who dial into the meeting using their telephone can automatically join.
  • Any participant can dial out of the meeting.
  • Meeting host must join the meeting earlier anyone else can join.
  • Only participants invited by the host can bring together the meeting without asking/"knocking".
  • Participants from your system who aren't invited must enquire to join the meeting. This includes people who want to dial into the meeting past phone.
  • People who are invited during the meeting by someone other than y'all must ask to join.
  • Only meeting hosts can dial out of the coming together.

Quick access is turned on by default for all meetings where host management is turned on. Workspace Admins can set the default to on or off.  Later you start a video coming together, y'all tin change the Quick access setting as often as you demand.

Tips:

  • If you turn Quick access on or off in recurring meetings or meetings that re-use the aforementioned meeting code, the setting will be saved for future meetings. If you turn Quick access on or off in a one-time, nicknamed, or instant meeting, the setting will render to on after the meeting ends.
  • For meetings created from Google Agenda, invited participants can join anytime between 15 minutes before the scheduled time and the end of the meeting. Otherwise, participants volition need to knock to join the meeting.
